We are a vegan bakeshop in New York City. With a mutual admiration for animals, food, and community — our co-founders launched a tiny feline-obsessed cafe in the spring of 2016 serving some of the most unmistakable plant-based fare in the five boroughs. We have enjoyed eight years as a community destination across 4 locations in Bushwick and Greenpoint and currently are focusing on our thriving wholesale partnerships and custom cake studio. Owner-creator, head chef, production development
Preesa hails from the land of trees and moss. Growing up in Seattle she learned to appreciate nature, fresh ingredients, and the truly delicious properties of a Rainier cherry. When not in the bakery you can find her in her own kitchen, the mountains, parks, theatres and anywhere a cat might be. Purrrr
Michael Minahan
Co-Owner
Michael is a Brooklyn based artist committed to sustainable and ethical practices in object-making. His work spans 20 years of set design and fabrication for live experiences. He is currently a Senior Project Manager at David Stark Design and Production. His role with Brooklyn Whiskers grew out of his partnership with Preesa and their mutual love for making something out of nothing. You can follow his work outside the cafe at www.minahandesign.com
